The Power of Gratitude: A Conservative's Thanksgiving View

My friends, this is Thanksgiving week.

If you listen to our program, you know that Thanksgiving is my favorite holiday.

I love just about everything about it.

The history and meaning of the holiday, which we will discuss in more detail Wednesday.

Spending time with family.

Eating turkey and noodles.

Watching a little football.

And expressing gratitude.

Zig Ziglar said, “Gratitude is the healthiest of all human emotions. The more you express gratitude for what you have, the more likely you will have even more to express gratitude for.”

Some hear that and think gratitude may be some sort of magical get rich quick force.

But the truth is, expressing a little gratitude is more like opening a door of awareness into all we have to be grateful for in our lives.
