Never Trump Movement Crumbles: A Conservative Vindication

My friends, it seems some Never Trumpers are finally admitting they overstated their case against Donald Trump.

Bret Stephens, a New York Times columnist and founding Never Trumper, recently wrote an op-ed titled “Done With Never Trump.”

In it, he admits the movement’s “heavy moralizing and incessant doomsaying” defeated its own purpose.

Good. It’s about time.

I’ve never understood the Never Trump movement.

Now, it seems Stephens is admitting he didn’t either.

While he still claims Trump’s second term could be “as bad as his most fervent critics fear,” he concedes Never Trumpers exaggerated their warnings.

Look, he’s not ready to admit the obvious, but I commend him for getting closer.

Comparing Trump to Hitler or Nazis is absurd.

America will resemble Nazi Germany exactly 0% in Trump’s second term.
