The Left’s Low-Key Strategy

The stage is now officially set for Super Bowl LVIII as the Kansas City Chiefs prepare to square off against the San Francisco 49ers. 

As an old-school football fan, I prefer the game to be about, well, the game itself. The teams. The matchups. Playing styles. Quarterbacks. Strategy. In a word, football. 

But in today’s world, everything is political. What you eat, what you drink, what you drive, what you wear, where you live – and, yes, who you want to win the Super Bowl – is political.

Much of the pregame Super Bowl talk currently revolves around the world-famous Taylor Swift, her relationship with Chiefs superstar Travis Kelce, allegations of the NFL fixing games, and, of course, how all of this could impact the 2024 Election.

This talk includes the theory that the NFL scripted the playoffs to send the Chiefs to the Super Bowl. The Chiefs, according to the theory, will win – giving Taylor Swift, through her relationship with Travis Kelce, and the NFL the opportunity to endorse Joe Biden for re-election. 

As I shared on our program this week, I do not buy into the claims that the NFL scripted this championship scenario. Not at all. 

The NFL is a game of inches. In fact, had the Baltimore Ravens better protected the ball against the Kansas City Chiefs in the AFC Championship, they likely would have sent the game into overtime. Or who knows? They may have outright won in regulation. 

Instead, they turned the ball over – twice – inside the Chiefs’ one-yard-line, possibly losing 14 points in a game separated by only 7. 

Competitive players fighting for an opportunity to become legends in a high-speed game of inches cannot be ‘fixed’ like this. 

While it is undeniable that there are very dark forces working nonstop against freedom and truth, we shouldn’t over-embellish the power these forces actually have over us. In fact, overstating their power actually discourages some Americans from engaging in this fight. Truth is on our side, my friends. And truth is an unstoppable force. 

Make no mistake: Taylor Swift supports Joe Biden, the Democrat Party, and their overall agenda. Of course, as a ‘conservative, not bitter’ talk show host, I’m the antithesis of that. Even so, I absolutely defend her right to hold and express her opinions. She should be able to share those opinions if and however she wants with anyone willing to listen to her. If we abandon this bedrock principle in America, we will cause even more trouble for this nation. 

A few years ago, one political commentator said that Lebron James should “shut up and dribble” rather than share his opinions on political matters. I vociferously disagree with this statement and believe that everyone – and I do mean everyone – is entitled to their worldview, beliefs, opinions, and political preferences. 

Especially those who disagree with me. 

When I was in college, we would sometimes discuss the widely-held philosophical belief that to be a lover of liberty, we had to be willing to defend another’s right to hold opinions at odds with our own. 

My friends, we’ve lost some of that. Maybe even a lot of that.  

Basketball players, pop music superstars, and talk radio show hosts who began their careers in a bedroom closet can all hold and share opinions with anyone who cares to listen. And so can you. 

In the words of the late, great Rush Limbaugh, I find this situation to be a ‘teachable moment.’ 

One doesn’t have to believe the NFL, Taylor Swift, and the Biden campaign are engaged in some massive conspiracy to accept the reality that politicians will put anything and everything to their advantage – especially in an election year. 

This is why it’s important to understand what I call the 7 Pillars of Propaganda. Suffice it to say for our purposes here that the Left has taken control of 7 key areas of our culture and society. This includes things like the government, media, science, and entertainment. 

The Left uses its power in these influential areas to manipulate, deceive, and gaslight Americans into accepting their extreme, anti-American agenda.

Make no mistake: the Left absolutely will use this opportunity, no matter how it arises, to further their political interests. 

They did this with Covid.

They do this with public education, gender, and climate change. 

They do this with their relentless attacks on Trump. 

They do it when they create the narrative for the 2024 Election. 

In fact, I challenge you to find one particular issue they don’t do this with. 

The Left never sleeps when it comes to advancing their morally bankrupt worldview. While some give them far too much credit in manipulating circumstances, they are always searching for ways to further their agenda – with or without the consent of the American people.

Conservative, not bitter.
