The Conservative Case Against Social Media Name-Calling

My friends, why do some folks feel the need to hop on social media and call those they disagree with “morons” or “idiots”?

Before you say, “Todd, they are idiots,” let me ask you this: what’s the objective?

Ronald Reagan warned us that freedom is only one generation away from extinction. It’s not passed through our DNA — we’ve got to persuade and educate the next generation to carry the torch of liberty.

But do we accomplish that by hurling insults? Hardly. If anything, it pushes people further away.

Let’s be honest — calling names doesn’t make you a tough guy. It just earns you points in your echo chamber with people who are also trying to climb the ladder of insults.

That’s not a strategy — it’s a shortcut to losing.
