Good Friday: The Victory Behind Christ's Sacrifice

My friends, today is Good Friday.

For those of you who aren’t Christians, you might wonder — what’s so “good” about a day when Jesus was crucified, placed in a tomb, and His followers were heartbroken?

On the surface, it sounds like a tragic ending. And if you stopped reading the story there, you might think that’s all it was.

But that would be the wrong conclusion.

Good Friday is good because of the Cross. Since humanity rebelled in the Garden of Eden, God has been working to reconcile us to Himself.

On this day, Jesus took God’s righteous wrath so we wouldn’t have to. That’s not tragedy, my friends — that’s victory.

A very good victory.

God loves you and made a way back to Himself. Will you take it?
